City 30
From 1 January 2021, the 30 km/h city limit will apply in the Brussels Region.
This means that driving at a maximum of 30 km/h in the streets of the capital becomes the general rule.
Exceptions (indicated by a sign): on certain major roads, the speed limit is 50 or 70 km/h. In the ‘zones de rencontre’, the speed limit is 20 km/h.
In Woluwe-Saint-Pierre, only the avenue de Tervueren, the boulevard de la Woluwe and the boulevard du Souverain are limited to 50km/h (or even 70km/h for a section of the avenue de Tervueren approaching the 4 Bras).
The rest of our territory is limited to a maximum of 30 km/h.
